Laid Back Ranch is more than just a name, it's a philosophy and a practice for owners Sajun and Paula Folsom. Raising animals humanely and naturally is what brought them together in 2011 while working on a local small farm together. At the time, Sajun was raising a few all-natural steers he had purchased from his aunt, Mae. In 2015, when Mae was ready to retire, it seemed natural for Paula and Sajun to turn what they loved into a business.
Being 'Laid Back' doesn't mean they don't have to work hard, though! The cows get moved every few days. This system of intensive rotational grazing keeps the cows happy and healthy. A little extra time spent ensures that the cattle are kept on high quality grass, free from excess manure and pests.
Visitors are always welcome at their Norwood ranch and they encourage anyone who is interested in farming, good food, and humane animal practices to reach out and say hello!
